Unofficial Results of Election in Gilgit Baltistan.

After being given a new status, the first election for the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly has completed peacefully with relatively few incidents of violence. Indeed it is a very good sign. In a scenario where the whole country is in a sate of war, the peaceful election in Gilgit-Baltistan is no less than a blessing. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan have proved that they are civilised and peaceful.

Also there was no sectarian propaganda during the election campaigns. The Legislative Assembly would be a ray of hope for the local people who have been deprived of their rights since 1947. I congratulate the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on this occasion. (The News Internaitonal)

YSO (Yasin Students Organisation) forms in KIU

Naveed Hussain Yasini;- Kararkuram International University,Gilgit comprises of a diversified group of students from different regions of Gilgit Baltistan and also from different cities of Pakistan. Students of different regions form groups to make the intra and inter-relations among each other more stronger so that the KIU’s community be an examplery one for the others. Recently students of Yasin valley called a meeting and formed Yasin Students Organisation (YSO).Ali Ashraf Botto was made the president,Saif-ud-Din Saif Vice-president, Muhammad Raza General Secretary and Muhammad Jamil Finance Secretary. Newly elected president Ali Ashraf Botto said to yasinvalley news that the prime objective behind formation of the council is to solve the students’ problems and for enlarging the career counsiling among students of the region.As the GBLA’s elections are going to take place very soon so he requested all the candidates to avoid disseminating hatred among the people but,  spread the feeling of brotherhood,fraternity,peace and sense of acceptance among them.He also thanked his fellow students for electing him.

Principal F.G Degree College for women gives Lalik Jan Shaheed awards to students

Naveed Hussain Yasini (Islamabad).  Federal Government Degree College for Women Gilgit is on the way of progress by providing quality education. Those students who do good are always appreciated for their achievements. Along with this the dedicated and hardworking teachers also come in consideration. Recently a nice program took place in the college hall where the Seceretary of education Mr.Ejaz Rasul was the chief guest.  At the end of the glorious program Principal of the college distributed awards among 14 students and teachers for their high accomplishments,  entiltled LALIK JAN SHAHEED AWARD in the memory of the brave Nishan-e-Haider holder. On this nice occasion Mrs.Principal and the guests advised all the students to do the same and even more better so that the college will achieve its aim.  People belonging to different walks of life appreciated the efforts of the college and teachers along with the principal for their dedication and endeavors.
